Olympos - Dan Simmons
Eos, 2005, 891 pages
ISBN: 978-0-380-81793-1
Read October 2017, age 39
Part two (of two) in the Ilium series
Long, complicated, and a bit over-clever. Maybe if my Greek mythology knowledge was a bit more in depth, or if I'd studied more Shakespeare or any Proust I might have appreciated it all a bit more. And really - throwing a sleeping beauty rape scene in just because? I'm torn on this one, but leaning toward not enjoying the book. It always seemed quite good when I was reading, but then I'd put it down and avoid picking it up again.
