Rigante, book 1
A book about not-the-Brigante Celtic tribe of southern Scotland, facing off against seriously-not-the-Romans under not-Julius Caesar. Wonderful writing, but the whole book was basically showing off the world building. There were a lot of words, but not much progress on anything that I really cared about.
It seems to be a duology, and I'll probably read the next one, but I'm not particularly excited about it.
