I don't like this series as much as the Mercy Thompson one, yet - no snarky first-person, which is one of the things that I tend to enjoy in urban fantasy. I'm also struggling a bit with Anna's character - too broken, and then too easily fixed. Interesting to see familiar characters through the eyes of a new person who knows nothing of the backstory.
I do enjoy spending more time in this world, and these are fun, quick reads.
