Icewind Dale trilogy, book 1
Generally poorly written and repetitive, with a one-line paragraph (often a fragment) at the end of each section. So many, many stingers. And each knocked me out of the book with a sour grimace. Interesting characters, because they're archetypes that have been overused and abused horribly since this book came out, but that's about it. I'll read the sequels, because this is the author's first book, and I believe that he does get better.
