I wasn't sure where the story would go after the really strong ending of Magician, but the introduction of Jimmy the Hand kept the story going very nicely. I like D&D-style rogues. The story was well-plotted, and well-written, but not hugely emotionally involving. It's easy gaming fiction done right.
