Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 2
Well, two books in, and the character's voice hasn't grown on me. The framing mystery was a waste of time, and basically unconnected to the central meat of the book. The middle was okay, and it's a short book, so not a huge time investment. I'm done, though - if this series improves, it'll be a while from now.
These books can go sit in a box with the late Anita Blake books, and I'll see if I'm ever so hard up for reading material that I decide to go back.
