Robinson is a good audiobook narrator, but he's very clearly a middle-aged man. It was incongruous to have the very immature protagonist voiced by a mature voice.
The story was really interesting - a clearly Heinlein setting and events, with clearly Robinson characters. Which is completely what it was - the story was written by Robinson from an outline found when clearing out Heinlein's desk after his passing.
It was generally good, but swung to extremes more than I'd prefer. We couldn't just have a girlfriend with a rich dad - he's got to be richer than Crassus. We can't just have a nice result from a sax solo performance, it's got to be the number one galaxy-wide hit in a few weeks - stuff like that.
