It's not really necessary to read the others to get in to this book, but I was a bit confused as to who was narrating, who everyone was, and why they were hanging out together. It did eventually work itself out, but it might be better to start at an earlier point in the series.
I enjoyed this one - fun characters, well written, and a somewhat twisty, though reasonably predictable whodunnit. Fast-paced, and kind of popcorn - start to finish for me in less than 24 hours (on a workday). I'll read more of these.
