Project Hail Mary - Andy Weir

Ballantine Books, 2021, 478 pages
ISBN 978-0-593-13520-4
Read: August 2022, age 44

The science in this book was interesting, but much more science fiction than the straight science in The Martian, and it pretty much replaced character development and story arc - mostly just random things go wrong, and then we science to fix it, causing another problem.  Which we then need to fix.  Using Science!

I liked the book, but I didn't think that it was particularly spectacular.  I didn't care for the character voice, and that's a pretty big deal in a first-person story.
