This felt in a similar vein to Farenheit 451 and 1984, but it seems to have lost more during the years than either of those - likely because so much of it has been imitated and expanded upon since it was written.  It was a bit coarse as a work of fiction - the structure shone through a bit too much.  I'm glad I read it, but mostly just to have had read it.
