Well written, surprisingly modern for a 1956 story, but, well, it is in large part The Count of Monte Cristo in SPAAACE! and I really disliked The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm finding that I'm not particularly a fan of revenge stories in general. This did take a turn along the way, but it was a turn into the weird, which didn't really fix it for me. I'm happy I read it, and I can certainly see why the whole cyberpunk genre owes this story, but I didn't enjoy it all that much.
