Dirk Pitt #13
This book really suffered for being read after Circe and The Old Man and the Sea. Both those books had wonderful prose, and this really didn't. It was terrible. The story was all right, I guess - a bit of a stretch on the physics, but otherwise okay. The prose was just awful. The ever-present Cussler bigotry was still present and just as unnecessary as ever, but somewhat in the background for most of the story. Mostly, I need to stop reading these.
