This book felt like just one more unnecessary sequel to cash in on the fame of the original, without adding anything to the story.  The original was pretty neat; but it was more a mystery exploration.  This one didn't have the sense of wonder, the characters weren't much, and the plot left a lot to be desired. 

 

There are a bunch more books in the series, but I'm done with it.
