The List - July update

Time for an update to The List.  This is satisfying.  I didn't realize how much I've accomplished.

Newly on the list:
  1. Paint upstairs half bath.
  2. Weather strips at bottom of garage man-door.
  3. Shrouds for west and garden water tanks.
  4. Add eavestroughs to sheds
  5. Trim the basement bathroom light (the installers cut the drywall bigger than the fixture)
In the attic:
  1. Install two bathroom fans (that move air, and don’t howl)
Upstairs:
  1. Hang Pictures (in progress – we have some up, but many more to go)
  2. Install baseboards in the closets
  3. Find a place to hang the vacuum cleaner hoses
  4. Fill the nail holes in all the baseboards
  5. New door sweeps at front door and back door
  6. Paint doors
  7. Paint ceiling at skylight
  8. Replace under-cabinet lighting (still in progress – have the parts, just need to do it)
  9. Fix the shelves in the walk-in closet
  10. Re-silicone the en-suite bathtub
Outside:
  1. Patch broken stucco
  2. Hand rails at main entrance and garage man-doors (2)
  3. Level sidewalk tiles at shed, walkout
  4. Fix play center and build a play house in one side of it, and install a wheel up top
  5. Replace deck, as the current one is deck boards installed on top of plywood
  6. Paint garage doors
  7. Put siding on sheds (they’re currently painted OSB)
  8. Fix soffits on the house and shed
  9. Build a shed for garbage
  10. Designate an area of front yard to go wild, and then plant a bunch of trees and brush to help it along. (Got the evergreens planted.  Next up: deciduous (possibly next year) and then shrubs (the year after that).
  11. Re-grade under the deck and east side of walkout
In the Garage
  1. Move garage door opener buttons
  2. Fix saggy ceiling in garage
  3. More shelves in the garage (there’s an entire bare wall that could handle shelves for shoes, kitchen appliances, etc.)
In the Basement:
  1. Run internet cable to the projector
  2. Install at least one cold air return
  3. Build shelves in the furnace room
  4. Deal with the hacked-in wet bar/kitchen in the basement (rip it out and start again?)
  5. Install projector and screen (got the projector up, still testing where I’ll want the screen)
  6. Build a hearth of some sort around the fireplace
  7. Trim glass block feature (in progress – I have the trim, now need to stain, finish, and install)
  8. Drywall under stairs
  9. Clean up and/or throw out carpet (under stairs)
  10. Build bookshelves
  11. Figure out basement lights switches that do nothing, and the lights that won’t turn on. (Well, the switches go to the lights.  Now I need to figure out what the other two wires going into the switch box are for, and why there’s no power there)
  12. Install faucet that doesn’t get half-turned-off in the basement bathroom
  13. Install towel bars, TP holders, etc. in basement bathroom
Electrician (or HVAC):
  1. Install outlets for garage heater, water heater (currently on extension cords)
  2. Hook up and/or fix central exhaust fan (Found the wire at the fuse panel – unconnected.  Presumably, that’s the problem.)
Carpet layer:
  1. Install tack strip at kitchen, hearth
  2. Stretch carpet
  3. Fix visible seam
