Corean Chronicles, book 2 of 8
Well, this took the weaknesses of the first book and expanded on them. They story just got lost in the details. And then the actual how and why of the magic stuff (good guys and bad guys) just kinda gets glossed over. Maybe I'm looking for a different story focus than the author is trying to tell. It's still well-written, and I like the setting, but this one made it hard to get excited for the next in the series.
Having read some reviews for the rest of the series, I think I'm done. It sounds like more of the same.
