Emberverse, book 8, book 5 of The Change
This one wasn't bad, but it wandered in the weeds a bit, and then didn't really end well - everything is pretty much still in motion. I have a feeling that this book got too long, and the publisher requested a break.
It was okay, but I think that there wasn't as much story in all the pages as there could have been. At some point, and I think we're there, we've established enough of the setting, and just need to get on with the plot, and that didn't really happen in this book.
