Asassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb (Audiobook)

Tantor, 2010, 17.3 hours
Original copyright 1999
Narrator:  Paul Boehmer

As with the Liveship Traders, despite not having read this book for at least two decades, I remembered much of the story and the characters.   Which recommends the book, but makes for a not-very-fresh read of the story.  I liked this book.  It's slow, detailed character building, with just enough plot to keep things moving along a bit.  Really well-done, but Hobb's characters always have such a hard time of it - and I could see the bad news storming over the horizon - that it wasn't quite as much fun as it could have been.

The audiobook was well done, but a bit too deliberately paced.  I sped it up to 110%, which worked very helped.
