This book was disappointing. Our hero played stupid through half the book,
which was frustrating on its own, and then the main plot was rushed. Despite being heavily foreshadowed throughout the first
two books, this one felt like an add-on, and seemed to be poorly thought-out
and explained.
It did show some of
the ‘what to do after the war’ angst that rears its ugly head for so many
people, I guess, and it was an OK way to spend a few
hours. I expected more after having read the Seer King trilogy, though.
